risen1 Risen rpg game set for October UK release!

Risen

If you’re looking forward to Risen and live in the UK then you can look forward to it’s release on October 2nd – however if you live in the States then I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until 2010!

The release was spotted on TechWatch and also includes some info about the game – you can also find more information at the official site.  While it looks like an action rpg it is also being made by the team behind the Gothic series so it certainly has some great potential.

Fallout Wars

Looks like Bethesda and Interplay are going to be having some fun.  According to this thread at the rpgcodex, Bethesda are suing Interplay over their distribution of Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics via Good Old Games.  Now obviously I don’t know all the details but it does seem just a little bit petty and I’n not really sure how many people would get confused that The Fallout Trilogy and Fallout 3 might not actually be the same game!!!

Anyway, have a look at the thread and let me know what you think – do Bethesda have a valid case or is this another instance of legalism gone mad?

New campaigns for Fallout 3

Posted in Uncategorized  on December 15th, 2008 by: ian

Three new downloadable campaigns have been announced by Bethesda. The first of these campaigns is Operation Anchorage, where the player will be able to take part in the liberation of Alaska from the Chinese. This campaign is set for release in January, and looks set to last for about four or five hours.

No release date has been set yet for the other two campaigns, the first of which ‘The Pitt’ is set in Pittsburgh, while the final campaign, ‘Broken Steel’ appears to be a continuation the original campaign in Fallout 3 itself.

More information about these campaigns can be found at IGN.
